I am a very sceptical guy. Even more so when approaching somebody in the weight loss space – an unregulated industry which is a magnet for charlatans, quacks and celebrity latching crooks who even write books. One well known fellow even claims to beat cancer while making you lose weight. If that does not take your goat, nothing ever will!
I took a gamble with Meenu for a 7 month program. I was, as usual, highly sceptical at first. But a month or so into the program I started to understand the philosophy behind Meenu’s work. She is, fundamentally speaking, a honest to goodness nutritionist who knows her craft and, more importantly, who understands human psychology. She may well be great across all nationalities but for Indians specifically she would be hard to beat.
She is professional but not impersonal. She is flexible to your needs but demanding at the same time in a non- threatening way. She takes you down the path that one needs to understand the importance of exercise, the calories that is food, that food can be tasty, varied yet healthy, the way we should eat food slowly and mindfully, the way we should understand our body especially our stomach, the way we need to approach exercise, and the way we ‘give in but not go overboard’ to our desires from time to time.
I have just finished my 7 months program and I am down 7 kilos. That may not sound a lot, but I was a reasonably fit person to start with, and I never missed having a full blown lunch and dinner all through these 7 months … even with Meenu trying to arm twist me a bit. If I was overweight to start with, and a bit more flexible in terms of dinner habits, I am certain I would have been down 14 kilos in 7 months.
Most importantly, I believe a healthy three way relationship between me, my food and my exercise is now a part of my DNA and hence this is more than likely to be a sustainable weight loss. Hell, I may be back to Meenu a few months later to lose a few more kilos!
Keep the great work going, lady. You are a potential blessing to a lot of people out there … and I hope they make use of it. I am sure glad I did!
Last few years I was struggling with my weight loss.I would try to reduce using things that I thought were good to eat, but it never turned out to be the right choice of food.Even after my sincerest efforts, I could not balance out my diet on my own. Moreover, past 2 years annual health check ups, diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism.
I thought of giving myself a try before starting any lifelong medication (though some of my friends suggested it’s impossible). That’s when I contacted Meenu ji. She helped me to understand where I was going wrong. She also taught me a new approach towards exercise & food. Results were amazing, four months guided efforts which reduced a whopping 9 kgs!! I am glad to share that it not only helped me to bring back my thyroid levels to normal but to follow a healthy eating lifestyle !
Credit goes to you, Meenu ji for taking out fear of the word ‘diet’ from my dictionary.🙂
While I had always played sport, over the years, constant travel, stress, eating out and a sweet tooth had resulted in weight steadily going up and related health issues cropping up. Once I hit 50, the realization kicked in that if I didn’t do something now, it might well be too late afterwards.
Going to Meenu and agreeing on a lifestyle change journey with her, was one of the best decisions I took.
Meenu’s commitment to my journey, the diet that was very doable and catered to your personal food likes and dislikes without imposing on you, and daily encouragement, made this change possible. Even after the contracted period ended and weight and health goals had been achieved, she continues to follow up and monitor from time to time to make sure i am on the long-term journey.
While making the change requires commitment, belief that it’s possible to transform one’s life and habits at this age, and determination to stick through it, the journey over the past year has had a remarkable positive impact on both my weight and health – weight is down by over twenty kgs and several chronic health issues have subsided.
I recommend anyone who genuinely wants to take charge of their own health for the better, to have that first meeting with her. It will change your outlook on life.
I discontinued my diabetic medicine after seeing HBA1C at 5.2, and also BP medications, was beyond imagination this about a year back. Thank you so much Meenu for this transformation which was impossible without your guidance and support.
This journey started in February 2019 with the realization that I need to do something about my health or start paying huge sums of hard earned money on medical insurance, medicines and sign up for many self-created complications.
In March ’19, we met a wonderful guide who not only is a wonderful person but a friend, mentor as well – @ Meenu Agarwal. She helped us channelize this realization and walked along with us in the journey.
The results are for all to see. I feel so refreshed, energetic and above all Healthy .
All credit goes to Meenu didi who through her diet, exercise and life style guidance hand held us and made this possible.
Thank you Meenu Agarwal and we will need your continued guidance as you made us realize , “BEING HEALTHY IS NOT A SHORT TERM FAD BUT A LIFESTYLE.”
We (Both me and Shikha) are obliged.
Now it’s time for me to go for run else my report card tomorrow morning will be zero.
