Description

Pomegranate raita is a delicious, healthy and quick to make accompaniment which is made using just yoghurt/curd, pomegranate peels, some spices and herbs. This fruit based raita is a great side dip for rice preparations, or even sandwiches and crankiest/rolls.

Ingredients

  • Curd:500g
  • Pomegranate pearls 200g
  • Roasted cumin seed powder:10g
  • Curry leaves:7-8pcs
  • Dry red chili: 1pc
  • Oil:1tsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1tsp
  • Hing: 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar: 2tsp
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1.  Whisk curd. Add roasted cumin seed powder, Sugar, Salt and mix well.
  2.  Wash pomegranate pearls. Add to the curd mixture.
  3.  Heat oil in small pan, add mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter.
  4.  Add curry leaves, red chilli, and stir them for few seconds. Add hing and immediately transfer this to the raita mixture.
  5.  Mix well and serve.

Description

This mixed vegetable raita is a popular condiment served with almost every Indian meal as a dip especially during summers. This is a no cook, easy recipe make with curd or yoghurt, carrots, cucumber, onions, tomatoes and any other vegetables of your choice.


Ingredients

  • Curd-500g
  • Carrots -50g finely chopped
  • Cucumber-100g finely chopped
  • Onion- 50g finely chopped
  • Tomatoes -100g deseeded and finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves -20g finely chopped
  • Green chili-1 pc.finely chopped
  • Roasted cumin seed powder-10g
  • Red chili powder -1/2 tsp
  • Rock salt-1/2 tsp.
  • Sugar-1/2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1.  Whisk curd.
  2.  Add sugar, roasted cumin seed powder, salt, rock salt and chili powder.
  3.  Add chopped vegetables to it.
  4. Adjust the consistency by adding some water if required.
  5. Mix well. Serve chilled

Description

Make this healthy, refreshing and delicious Bathua ka raita with fresh Bathua leaves. It is super easy to make with a few simple ingredients and can make any meals filling and wholesome.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch (250 g) Bathua
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Bhuna Jeera

Instructions

1) Wash the Bathua Leaves and remove the big stems from the end. Chop it finely and add it in a pressure cooker along with 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil.

2) After it has cooked let it cool for a little while. In the meantime, whisk the curd and add salt, red chilli powder & cumin powder to it. Mix the cooked bathua with the curd. Bathua raita is ready. Serve chilled with roti, paratha or rice.
